Overview & Ratings

Are you looking for a convenient way to get an intense full-body workout? If so, you should consider the Nautilus E616 elliptical trainer.

With an elliptical trainer, you get a full-body workout with very little impact on your joints. Your lower body muscles are hard at work pushing the pedals of the machine in an oval, or elliptical motion, while your upper body muscles are pushing and pulling the arms of the machine in time with the pedals. Even your core muscles are engaged to keep you in a stable, upright position. Over time, you’ll reap enormous health benefits in terms of increased cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, and endurance. However, not all elliptical trainers are the same.

Upon closer inspection, you’ll see that the Nautilus E616 elliptical trainer stands out among the elliptical trainers on the market by striking a balance between advanced technological features, reliability, and affordability. Based on our extensive analysis, we rated this product at 8.9/10.

Our Likes

Nautilus is a leader in home fitness equipment with a reputation for high quality products. The company specializes in treadmills, stationary bikes, and elliptical machines. Of the various elliptical machines on the market, you can rely on the Nautilus E616 elliptical machine to provide you with a superb combination of value and features.

Our Dislikes

One drawback of the Nautilus E616 elliptical trainer is that its stride length is not adjustable. However, even users on both the taller and shorter end of the height spectrum report that the 20-inch stride length is comfortable for them after a brief period of adjustment.

  • Another complaint that has come up in some Nautilus elliptical reviews is that the heart rate touch pads are built into the stationary handles of the machine, which can be less comfortable to use than the moving handles. Many people solve this problem by using a wireless chest strap for heart rate monitoring, since the Nautilus E616 is telemetry enabled.

  • There have also been reports of squeaking noises coming from the Nautilus E616. As with most home fitness equipment, you will need to perform periodic maintenance in order to keep it in top working condition. To address the squeaking issues, the company recommends a weekly cleaning of the rollers and rails before applying a silicone lubricant to the rails. Use caution in which lubricant you choose, as the company has included a warning not to use petroleum-based products for this purpose.

Our Verdict

In designing the Nautilus E616 elliptical trainer, the Nautilus engineers started with a sturdy machine, backed it up by a solid warranty, and then loaded on some of the most useful features available in home exercise equipment. You will appreciate the way this machine helps you to become a healthier version of yourself.

The Nautilus E616 elliptical trainer will meet you at your current level of fitness and motivate you to ever increasing levels of fitness. Works great for me

Since both my wife and I use the Nautilus E616, we set it up with two profiles. Although it took longer than I expected to assemble it, I’ve been pleased with it. I like the built-in fan, but don’t like using the fixed handles where the heart rate monitor is because I have to hold my arms in an uncomfortable position to avoid the moving arms of the machine.

Definitely recommend this

I definitely recommend the Nautilus E616 elliptical trainer. After using it three to five times a week for a few months, I’ve already lost a lot of weight. My husband and I were able to assemble it without running into too many problems. The fan and tablet holder keep me comfortable during my workouts.

Great Value

After a bad experience with another piece of home fitness equipment, I did a lot of research into home exercise equipment. After reading a lot of Nautilus E616 elliptical reviews, I decided to buy one for the features, price, and warranty. I had some issues with delivery, but once it arrived, it only took me a couple hours to put it together and test it out.
